Frequently asked questions
Answers about how Fraym works, who it is for, plan limits, and what lifetime access includes. Fraym is a decision-first feedback platform for founder-led SaaS teams.
Who is Fraym for?
Fraym is built for founder-led SaaS teams. If you are a solo founder or a small product team collecting feature requests from customers and trying to decide what to build next, Fraym fits. It is intentionally simpler than heavy enterprise suites, so it suits startups and growing SaaS products rather than large enterprises with complex approval chains.
Is Fraym a Canny alternative?
Yes, Fraym works well as a Canny alternative for teams that want to collect feedback, let users vote, run a public roadmap and publish changelogs in one place. Fraym leans toward helping you decide what to build next, not just gather requests. Canny is a capable tool with its own strengths, so compare both against your needs.
Is Fraym a Frill alternative?
Yes. Many teams evaluate Fraym as a Frill alternative. Both cover feedback, roadmap and changelog. Fraym adds a decision-first layer, with signal scoring and a suggested next step, to help you prioritise real demand. Frill is a well-regarded tool, so weigh both against what you need.
See our Frill comparison and the fuller guide to the best Frill alternatives.
Is Fraym a Productboard replacement?
Fraym is not a full enterprise Productboard replacement. Productboard is a large product management platform with deep enterprise features. Fraym is designed for founder-led SaaS teams that want a simpler feedback, roadmap and changelog workflow without the weight and cost of enterprise tooling. If you need heavy enterprise product management, Fraym may be lighter than you require.
Can users vote on feature requests?
Yes. Customers can submit ideas and vote on them on your public board. Votes feed the Fraym signal score, which weighs demand rather than showing a raw count alone, so you can prioritise with more confidence.
Can I publish a public roadmap?
Yes. Every plan includes a public roadmap. You control the statuses, and the roadmap updates as you move ideas forward, so customers can see what is planned, in progress and shipped.
Can I publish changelog updates?
Yes. Every plan includes a changelog. You can announce shipped updates and link each entry back to the ideas it closes, which closes the loop from request to release.
What is the embed widget for?
The embed widget lets you place your Fraym board, roadmap or changelog directly inside your own app or website, so users can give feedback without leaving your product. The embed widget is available on the Growth and Studio plans and on the founding lifetime tiers.
See the pricing page for which plans include it.
How does code stacking work?
Code stacking is common on lifetime deals, where you redeem more than one code to move up to a higher tier with higher limits. If Fraym runs a specific lifetime promotion that supports stacking, the exact rules and the resulting limits are stated with that offer. Always follow the terms shown on the deal you are buying, and contact support first if anything is unclear.
Review the lifetime deal terms or contact support before purchasing.
Does lifetime access mean unlimited usage?
No. Lifetime access applies only to the limits of the purchased plan. It does not include unlimited usage, enterprise features, white-label, managed service, done-for-you setup, custom development, API-heavy usage or future premium add-ons unless explicitly stated. You keep access to the plan you bought, at its limits, without a recurring subscription.
What are the limits of each tier?
Each tier sets how many workspaces you can run, how many admin seats you get, and how many ideas each workspace can hold. Higher tiers raise those limits and unlock the embed widget, and the top tier can hide the Powered by Fraym badge. Starter suits a single product with a small team, Growth suits teams running a few products, and Studio is the highest tier. Founding lifetime tiers mirror these limits at a one-time price.
For the current numbers on each tier, see pricing and the lifetime deal.
Can agencies use Fraym with clients?
Yes, within your plan limits. If you manage feedback for more than one product or client, choose a plan that allows multiple workspaces, since each product usually maps to its own workspace and public board. Check the workspace limit on your chosen tier. Note that Fraym does not offer a managed service or done-for-you setup, so you would run the boards yourself.
Does Fraym include future updates?
Yes, within the scope of your plan. Improvements and fixes to the features included in your plan are part of what you pay for. Brand new premium add-ons or separate products may be offered separately and are not automatically included, especially on lifetime access, unless the offer states otherwise.
What features are not included in the LTD?
Lifetime access covers the features and limits of the tier you buy. It does not include unlimited usage, enterprise features, full white-label, a managed service, done-for-you setup, custom development, API-heavy usage or future premium add-ons unless explicitly stated in the offer. Removing the Powered by Fraym badge is available on the higher tiers, but full white-label branding is not part of Fraym.
What are AI Decision Briefs?
AI Decision Briefs turn your approved feedback into a structured read on what to build next. Fraym reads your ideas, votes and comments and drafts a brief that spots themes, flags likely duplicate requests, recommends a next build, lists quick wins, suggests what to defer or reject, drafts roadmap and changelog updates, and proposes questions to ask users. You generate one on demand from the Decision briefs page in your workspace.
Does Fraym decide for me?
No. Fraym helps organise feedback and generate decision briefs, but the final product decision stays with you. The AI layer is designed to highlight patterns, duplicates, risks and possible next steps, not to replace founder judgement.
What data does the AI use?
Only your approved feedback content: idea titles and descriptions, vote and comment counts, statuses, and a few approved comments. Personal data such as customer emails and user identities is not sent to the AI. The exact data used is saved with each brief so it stays auditable, and generation runs only when you click Generate.
Can I regenerate a decision brief?
Yes. You can generate a new brief whenever your feedback changes. Each brief is saved with its date and can be opened again later, so you build up a history rather than overwriting the last one.
Are AI Decision Briefs included in lifetime plans?
Yes. Decision briefs are part of Fraym's decision layer and are included on the plans and the founding lifetime tiers within fair-use monthly limits, not as unlimited usage. Lifetime access applies to the limits of the tier you bought and does not add unlimited usage or premium add-ons unless stated.
How many AI Decision Briefs can I generate?
AI Decision Briefs are included within fair-use monthly limits, not unlimited. The trial includes 3 per month. Founder Tier 1 and the Starter plan include 10 per month, Founder Tier 2 and Growth include 50 per month, and Founder Tier 3 and Studio include 150 per month. You can always view and copy your past briefs, and your limit resets on the first of each month.
Does Fraym replace Canny, Frill or Productboard?
Fraym covers the same core ground as tools like Canny and Frill (feedback, roadmap and changelog) and is lighter than an enterprise platform like Productboard. The difference is the decision layer: signal scoring and AI decision briefs that help you decide what to build next, not just collect requests. Whether it replaces your current tool depends on your needs, so compare honestly.
